Blog monotize: Ad display percentage

Blogging has become a million dollar business. Top bloggers make a daily living just by posting on their blog. At SearchEngineGaze we compiled a webpage that displays the latest posts of ProBlogger, JohnChow and Shoemoney to be found at the affiliate blog feed page. But how do they monotize the blog?

At serverdome.org they have listed a few top blogs and converted the total display pixels and the total pixel space used for advertising. They used a 1280 1024 resolution for this test to be found at the How the top bloggers display their ads - Percentages and numbers

At this test you can easily spot the advertising spaces at the top-blogs. Most of them use the right side-hand bar to monotize their blog with 125 x 125 ads.

The Results from serverdome.org

- ProBlogger uses about 17,76% ad space at the blog
Feedburner: 32,116, daily unique:9,677.  

- CopyBlogger uses about 11,37% ad space at the blog.
Feedburner: 24,362, daily unique aprox: 5,000-6,000.

- DailyBlogTips uses about 13,01% ad space at the blog.
Feedburner: 5,944, daily unique aprox: 2,000-3,000.

- JohnChow uses about 27,86% ad space at the blog.
Feedburner: 8,688, daily unique aprox: 6,000, income: $17,000 a month.

- StevePavlina uses about 20,30% ad space at the blog.
Feedburner: unknown, daily unique aprox 8,000-10,000.

- ShoeMoney uses about 14,69% ad space at the blog.
Feedburner: 10,999, daily unique aprox 5,000 - 6,000.

Conclusion

All the the above mention blogs have a large community with a good daily traffic flow, all have about 17-20% advertising space on the blogs displayed and the fast the most of the above mentioned blogs uses affiliate management and 125 x 125 pixel ads. The blogs all have similiar topics: how to make money on the internet.

Creating a internet blog about making money on the internet can provide a good deal of monthly income.
