RSS Subscribers: Contest Shoe vs John

October 1, 2007

Every respected blogger is looking for ways to increase subscribers to theirs RSS Feeds. The pro bloggers have subscribers from 5.000 - 10.000! At SearchEngineGaze we are working to gain more subscribers, so join in and subscribe to SearchEngineGaze RSS Feed.

Lets take a closer look at the contest JohnChow is working on…. At his blog he has a special post about his contest to gain more RSS subscribers. At this time of writing JohnChow has 8,585 subscribers and ShoeMoney has 10,833 subscribers.
Both RSS subscribers feeds are increasing and it seems John´s Feed is increasing faster than ShoeMoney´s, Joost de Valk created a great tool to compare FeedBurner Feeds. Let´s check both feeds.

Conclusion

JohnChow cannot gain in on Shoemoney but this little contest will increase his RSS subscribers for sure!

John Knows exactly what every new subscriber will bring him, at this post.

In a recent post, I determined that JohnChow.com’s cost per subscriber, based on the number of subscribers and total revenue earned for the blog, was $11.52 per subscriber.

He is putting up total prizes of US$769, devided to $11,52 = 67 new subscribers to his blog. Lame prizes if you’d asked me. And the one that puts the most subscribers to his blog can win a iPod nano..

Subscribe and win

Well subscribe to JohnChow and ShoeMoney feeds. John just give me a 125 x 125 at your blog and you’re okay. Thanks
